A gold medalist in Mechanical Engineering, Bharat Thakker served 7 years in a reputed engineering company before venturing into the world of entrepreneurship in 1979. Prior to heading Unicom in 1996, he spent more than a decade handling finance & planning at Unique Mixers Pvt Ltd, his first business venture. With his vision, Unicom has grown into a leading technology solutions organisation with operations across India.
In 1992, after completing his education in Engineering (Electronics & Telecommunication), he joined Unique Mixers in Production Planning. In 1994, Vinod Tekchandaney completed his post-graduation in Systems Management and in 1996, he started Unicom Infotel Pvt Ltd with operations in Mumbai. Today, Unicom has expanded to 13 locations across India.
Jay Thakker joined Unicom in 2000 after completing his Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering & Business Management. After spending five years in the organization handling various roles in Sales & Services, Jay got elevated to the Board of Directors and assumed the responsibility of driving Data Networking, IT & End-To-End Project business. In his current profile, he also manages the regional expansion in West and North India.
